About Streatham & Marlborough CC

Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club was formed in 2003 after the merger of Streatham CC (est 1805) and Marlborough CC (est 1870).

Legendary England captain WG Grace played at Streatham in 1902 so you are in good company! More recent alumni includes the 4th most expensive cricketer in the 2009 IPL, South African international, Tyron Henderson.

We are a Focus Club for Surrey and have been ECB Clubmark accredited since October 2009. We pride ourselves on being known as an exceptionally fun, friendly, inclusive and social club at all levels.

The club is located between East Dulwich and Forest Hill in south-east London.  We have two squares on the same site and we also user other nearby pitches.

In 2017 we expect to run the following teams. We are actively looking for more members for all teams as we continue to grow.

  • 6 men's Saturday league sides
  • Ladies Sunday league side
  • Friendly Saturday side
  • 2 friendly Sunday sides
  • Friendly Wednesday side
  • Academy side (teenagers/young adults)
  • Under 15s (school years 9 & 10)
  • Under 13s (school years 8)
  • Under 12s (school years 6 & 7)
  • Under 10s (school year 5)
  • Under 9s (school years 1-4)

In the men's 1st XI, our players compete against county and former international players in the Surrey Championship, at the lower levels, we play for fun. If you do not fancy the cut and thrust of league cricket, you may be more suited to a relaxing friendly. We run a couple of teams on Sunday and a midweek team mixing abilities and ages.

As a stepping stone between junior and senior cricket, we have an Academy XI playing in the Surrey Trust League.

Our ladies started in 2009 and is looking to expand its playing membership. They won the Surrey Trust Ladies League at their first attempt in 2012 and are a thriving part of the club.

We run junior teams for kids from school year 1 upwards, and work with local schools through the Chance to Shine programme. All of our coaches are DBS-checked and ECB qualified.

For men, we hold approximately 12 indoor net sessions in the Dulwich area from January. In the summer, senior nets are on a Thursday night at the club from 6.30pm onwards throughout the season.

Ladies' winter training runs from October through till March and summer training is on a Thursday evening at the club.

We run indoor colts training throughout autumn and winter, and outdoor training and matches between Easter and the summer holidays.
